Rest Haven Children’s Health Fund is proud to announce that the Medtronic Foundation has awarded a two year $50,000 Health Access Grant effective July 1, 2016 to support improved access to healthcare in San Diego County for underserved children. These funds will be used to provide individual assistance to children who have a health related need for which no other funding source is available and the parent and/or guardian cannot afford it.
“At Medtronic, we are driven by a belief that access to quality healthcare is fundamental for all people around the world, and that starts right here in Carlsbad,” says Joel Brandon, Vice President, Global Marketing, Medtronic. “Through the Medtronic Foundation, we invest in localized health access initiatives that support and recognize community-based organizations such as Rest Haven Children’s Health Fund, allowing them to continue and expand their great work.”
Medtronic Foundation Health Access Grants are awarded in more than 70 different communities around the world in recognition of community-based programs and organizations that demonstrate a commitment to expanding access to chronic disease care for the underserved.
